In treating my skin, what should I consider?
Solution
Skin type, thickness, melanin content and phototype are all factors tha must be considered to personally tailor the proper skin care therapy and treatments for each individual.
The skin care therapy and treatments will usually consist of some combinations of the following:
1. Skin and Face Cleansers
2. Chemical Peels
3. Dermabrasion
4. Anti-irritants
5. Exfoliates
6. Moisturizers and Toners
7. Antioxidants
8. Antibacterial
9. Emulsifiers
10. Excess oil absorbers
11. Collagen
12. Elastin
13. Skin tightening compounds
14. Emollient for smoothing and softening
15. Diet and supplements
16. Exercise therapies
17. Hormone replacement therapy or hormone precursor therapy*
18. Inspections for cancers
*** NOTE: Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) has been proven to be very effective, but many, including the US Government consider its long term use potentially dangerous and therefore any use is very controversial and is not provided by most companies. Hormone Precursor Therapy (HPT) consists of taking safe supplements that enable older individuals to increase their ability to produce the higher levels of natural hormones that they did when younger. HPT is not as effective as HRT but tests show that it does provide significant improvement in youthful appearance and performance.
